Chelsea have to act quickly if they want to sign Italy international valued at €40-45m
Inter Milan are preparing to include several players in negotiations
to land Cagliari midfielder and long-term Chelsea and Manchester United
target Nicolo Barella in the summer transfer market, according to the
latest reports.
Nicolo’s future at Rossoblu has been under the microscope since the January transfer window when he eventually made a decision to spend the rest of the campaign at his current club.
The Italian is tipped to depart the Italian club this summer market and several clubs in Italy and in Europe are reportedly plotting to secure his services in the coming months.
The Blues have long been keeping a close eye on him and nearly purchased him in January, while the Red Devils have also reportedly joined the hunt ahead of the end of the campaign.
Inter Milan have also been mulling a swoop for the midfielder and, according to an Italian national sports newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport, the club board are laying down strategies before approaching Rossoblu.
The Nerazzurri hierarchy don’t want to meet fellow Serie A club’s valuation, believed to be between €40 million to €45 million for the star and are waiting to see whether they change their demands.
The Serie A heavyweights are also willing to loan out players to Cagliari as part of the potential deal in order to fight off competition for Barella.
The star is also believed to be interested in continuing in Italy due to family reasons in spite of serious interest from elite European sides, especially from the Premier League.
